I’ve had this lizard for ten or fifteen years now. It used to follow me from job to job, finding itself stuck on a shelf or the ceiling in an attempt to startle visitors. Then I brought it home for Faith’s piano students to puzzle over and now it’s in the hands of the biggest puzzler around. Plus, you know, there’s a Z in Lizard.
The red mark on his upper lip is a raspberry stain. We planted a patch along the front wall and it produces fruit about three times a year. Zane loves berries. LOVES berries. After eating dinner he went out and wolfed down at least a cup of berries. He also likes Concord grapes, even before they are fully ripe. There should be a Z in tart.
