Zane goes to pre-school twice a week. After pre-school Faith & Zane walk 100 feet and wait at a bus stop. They board the bus (free!), carefully pick out a good seat, and then ride the bus to the next stop… a half block away. They then thank the bus driver, get off, and either go to lunch or head to the playground (which is now a quarter block further away). There’s variations on this, but I think it’s great to imagine him standing at the bus stop, maybe holding his mommy’s hand, waiting excitedly for the bus. Wouldn’t it be fun if you could meet all kinds of trucks and vehicles on some corner and get a ride to the next corner? Today the fire truck, tomorrow a street sweeper, next week an antique roadster or a souped up race car.
