Little Baby Zane goes in for his first shots this morning. I think there’s a total of four or five of them, so if you hear a loud wail around mid-day today that would be him (or Faith).
He’s still hanging out around eleven pounds and eating well. Last night I put him down around 8:30 and he didn’t wake up until 1:15 this morning. Woo hoo!
I’ve been teaching him peak-a-boo and while he may not fully get it (as if there’s something to “get”) he does smile a lot when we play it.
Zane uses his hands mostly for directing invisible traffic. I tried to teach him to grasp a little chew toy he was nibbling on but the whole mouth-hand-grasp thing wasn’t working and the toy fell to the wayside while he waved another taxi through. He does have a good grip when the spirit moves him, though. We took a nap yesterday and he had a firm hold on my esophagus for the better part of the snooze.
Faith has been practicing her opera, which means Zane is getting dosed with dramatic Italian on a regular basis. She also reads to him from our French books. I mostly sing and whistle, luckily he seems to enjoy both.
Zane sends out a Happy Birthday to his cousin Christopher!
