Zane and the card he and Faith gave me for Father’s day. He points at it while eating and says “Daddy!” and will often read it instead of eating, or when he’s winding down.
We went to the playground last night for a mommies get together except no one else showed up. So we walked around since he didn’t want to slide or play, tossed gravel down storm drains, and monkey-boy climbed up some two foot high toadstools (he calls them mushrooms). Just as we gave up and were pulling out of the parking lot one of the Mom’s showed up with Zane’s friend Ben (and his new baby sister). So we all went to the playground again and this time Zane was interested in everything. In fact he came up with an interesting course where he’d climb up the metal “rope” ladder on one end, run halfway across the bridge and then grab a bar and swing out off the bridge, hang in mid-air for a bit then drop the last couple of inches to the ground and then run back around the other end to start it all over.
