Independent

Zane exercising some of his independence. Faith has setup the clothes in his drawers so he can reach the ones he needs, pick out his wardrobe, and then dress himself. It’s still a work in progress, but he’s doing well. This morning he was all “daddy I can’t DO IT!” with the buttons on his shirt, but then I’d leave the room for a minute, come back, and another button was done. He also tries the “I can’t do it!” with puzzle type games on the iPad (physics/logic) but then you’ll find him doing the exact same one all by himself later on. Ditto with his new favorite saying, “I don’t want to get too full.”

I’m working at home today and he wanted to “go to work” with me. I said he could, but he would have to read books all by himself. For the next hour he read books out loud, only interrupted by the time it took to go get a new one from the living room and bring it back.
