Eat what you cook

He’s really wanting to help me do everything these days and, if not that, then climbing all over me while I try and do stuff is a good substitute. Lately he really wants to do the cooking, dragging his little step stool over to the counter and exclaiming “let me do it!” Last night I put him in charge of mixing the cukes & onion bits in a jar and then shaking them up after the rest of the spices were added.

One thing I try NOT to do is get his opinion about everything we eat. Yes, sometimes it’s all up to him, but really if you want to get the meal done and put together you’ll be better off not giving him choices. For example he absolutely did not want sweet potatoes and yet when it came time to eat he didn’t hesitate to eat them.
