The biggest challenge with the baby so far has been where to put him. You can’t have him ride your hip all day and yet he seems to think that would be a fine thing. There’s only so many times that he’ll put up with being put back into his crib and left alone, “here, entertain yourself while mommy mows the lawn.”
Now that he can sit on his own it’s a bit easier, especially since he isn’t yet mobile, but there’s always the chance of toppling over and bonking his head. My favorite “containment devices” right now are clothes baskets and boxes. He fits snugly and seems to think they are a wonderful treat, little spaceships just for him.
Oh, and for some strange reason, Zeke’s old dog bed seems to work rather well.
