Breakfastude

Breakfast can be a bit tough. Yesterday it took an hour to eat a small scone. We ride a fine line between putting food in his mouth ourselves or waiting for him to do it, which can take forever. It’s just that there’s so many things for a 3yr old to do at the start of the day that something like eating is at the very, very bottom of the list.

So this morning I asked for input.

“Would you like an egg?”
No egg.
“Cereal?”
No Cereal!
“Banana?”
NO BANANA, NO CEREAL!
“Apple?”
NO APPLE, NO NANANA! WAAA!!!!
“Granola?”
NO GRANOLA!!! NO FOOD!!!
(etc..)

Resolved to sit him down, put something in front of him, and then don a pair of earplugs to avoid the brunt of the horrors to follow he then asked nicely for an apple. “Ok, go sit in your chair and I’ll wash and cut it.”

Zane eat big apple?

Which meant he didn’t want it cut. Whole apple in hand and munching away happily he was also conducive to nibbling on the bowl of granola I set in front of him. Go figure.
