A reeeely, reeeely big day

As is our usual Zane and I set out to break the world record for things a three year old can do in a single morning. We started off at 7am with a truck stop breakfast (he swung by a table of cute nurses to say “hi” on the way out…flirt) followed by a long walking tour of the truck stop parking lot and all of the big trucks and equipment. Then we headed off to the hospital, originally to hike around the perimeter (it’s a huge complex) as I told him stories about the birth of Baby Zane (he’s rather nostalgic these days) but then we ended up hiking through the hospital (not a soul in sight) and out the other side, discovering a cool playground along the perimeter path. One playground under our belt, we proceeded to visit not one, not two, but three more playgrounds including the large one pictured here. By eleven o’clock we were getting hungry so it was off to a sandwich shop where Zane made faces and laughed at a little dog out the window and then I took the long drive home guaranteeing that he fell asleep by noon.

He woke up at two and we started all over again…
